Performer// Songwriter // Teaching Artist
Growing up in the panhandle of Florida provided many opportunities for the young artist to explore different avenues of creativity. Whether she was singing in choir or participating in local theatre or improvising songs as a means to make sense of the world around her, she knew this craft was meant to be shared.
In 2013 she moved to Alabama to pursue a degree in classical voice, but in 2015, a trip to New Orleans changed the way she wanted to go about making music. After earning her degree at the University of Montevallo in 2017, she taught herself how to play several instruments and started bringing her original music to life.
When she's not on stage, "Miss Calliope" can be found in schools, libraries and community arts centers; helping others discover their unique instrument (the voice) and convincing them that there is no right or wrong way to create!
